Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo & Conditioner

Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo & Conditioner

d0f38bbe4e62780739579347ebcff025
I have reasonably straight hair, and as much as I would love to straighten it to perfection and have it looking smooth and sleek every morning, I just don’t have the time!  So when I came across Sunsilk’s new Perfect Straight Shampoo & Conditioner, I was crossing my fingers that this could be just what I needed.
And I was right!  I have used the Perfect Straight Shampoo & Conditioner for the last week, and it has definitely made a difference in the appearance of my hair.  I wash, comb and let it air dry, and my hair is left straighter than usual and is so soft.  It doesn’t take me any more time than my old routine, but my hair looks much better than it did before!
It also makes straightening my hair with irons faster – I can just zap the irons through quickly and it looks great.
Overall, I am a huge fan of Sunsilk’s new Perfect Straight range and it will definitely be on my shopping list.

have u used it?

Price Rs. 599 for 25 g

My experience

I am back from a short break. Last two days had been really hectic but a lot of fun. For this festive season, Lakme is on the top list. These days I am using a lot lakme products, lakme mousse, Lakme fast & fabulous nail colors, and Lakme eyeconic kajal.

Lakme Absolute range is little expensive but quality is also better. For all this festive season I have been continuously using Lakme Absolute Mousse as make up base. It comes in a round classy tub, which is named absolutely correct, it is soft and smooth as mousse, blends easily with skin. Coverage is very good, and it is matte, Doesn't feel heavy at all. In total its AWESOME.

Check out the swatch, its natural.

Pros

  • Very cute packaging.
  • Awesome coverage
  • It claims to stay for 16 hrs, I din't had to wear it that long. But all the time I wore it, it was always working. (for me; max time was 8 hrs)
  • Has SPF 8
  • Matte finish
  • Doesn't look heavy or caked
  • Blends so good into the skin as if that's your natural skin.
  • Covers blemishes, dark spots even under eyes
  • Waterproof, sweatproof
  • If I look at its perfoemance, I don't find it expensive.

Cons

  • Moisturizer is needed for dry skin beauties.
  • No list of ingredients

Will I purchase it again: Definitely, I love it

MAYBELLINE GEL EYELINER (REVIEW, SWATCHES & PHOTOS)

MAYBELLINE GEL EYELINER (REVIEW, SWATCHES & PHOTOS)

The Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner has a large amount of faithful fans in the blogging world, with most people considering it as the cheaper alternative to MAC Fluidline Gel Eyeliner. I'm a huge fan of Fluidline, but MAC's products can be quite pricey to keep re-purchasing over and over again, so I jumped on the bandwagon and decided to give Maybelline's gel liner a go.
Maybelline claims that the Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is long-lasting, easy to apply, intensely pigmented and it doesn't transfer. At first, when I swatched it I was really impressed; I could clearly see that it was similar to MAC Fluidline in consistency and pigmentation. The pot also comes with a little brush, which is quite handy and definitely a bonus.

When put to the test, however, this product was a bit of a disappointment to me. Apart from being really pigmented and soft, the two main claims that it lasts 24h and that it doesn't transfer are simply not true. Whilst applying eyeliner, I like to look straight in the mirror to see if everything is going according to plan, but as soon as I looked up to the mirror, in the middle of the application, this eyeliner transferred onto my eyelids.

I find it really difficult to have to wait a long time for the eyeliner to dry, and that's something that never happens with my MAC Fluidline, which dries almost immediately after application. You can set it with a powder eyeshadow like MAC Carbon, by running the black eyeshadow over the gel eyeliner, but that's such a hassle and it takes forever; you're better off just using MAC Fluidline on its own, in my opinion!

Maybelline's Gel Eyeliner also doesn't last 24h on me; because it transfers so much throughout the day, by the end of the day, the line is looking a bit worse for wear. I found myself looking like I had deliberately applied a line of black eyeshadow on my crease and not blended it.

So, overall I'm quite disappointed with this eyeliner, maybe because I had high hopes for it, but I also think that a gel eyeliner that transfers as much as this one is not even practical to have in your makeup collection. I do like the formulation and the pigmentation, but that's about it.

Have you tried Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner? What do you think of it? What's your favourite gel eyeliner?

maybelline baby lips review

Maybelline Baby Lips Review

Grape Vine- This smells amazing! and leaves a gorgeous subtle berry shade. Love this one for daytime.
Peppermint- This has a yummy fresh minty taste to it, great if you just want your lips to be moisturised without colour. It also has SPF 20 which is also handy for everyday.

Pink Punch- I adore the smell of this one! Smells like cocktails or something haha (don't ask! :P) this has a lovely light pink tint to it which makes it really wearable.
Cherry Me- This has to be one my favourites of the bunch, I adore the 'fake' cherry smell, which reminds me of American sweets, the colour payoff on this one is fantastic!

Peach Kiss- I love the colour of this, it's a gorgeous nude-peach, great for daytime.

Quenched- I heard about this one ages ago! This one is similar to the Peppermint one as they both contain SPF 15, unlike the others which are just balms. This would definitely be my no.1 favourite out of the bunch, this smells just like lemonade and tastes so yummy! Would definitely recommend this one for Summer.

Another thing I love about these is the cute packaging, I would be lying if I said this isn't what attracted me to them. They're so bright and colourful and smell amazing These definitely stand out to me in my makeup drawer.

Have you tried Baby Lips lip balms?

lakme eyeconic collection vs maybelline products

lakme eyeconic collection vs maybelline products

So if you are among the ones confused about
buying the new eyeconic collection or to stay put with the maybelline products here is a post to throw some light on that topic.

Lakme products

The lakme eyeconic range products are an awesome find from lakme.
The eyeconic kajal glides on my eyes like a dream giving
out a darkest black shade, smudge free and lasts 8-9 hrs without any
problem for a reasonable cost. The eyeconic mascara has an intense black finish
with a curling brush and makes the lashes appear long.

Maybelline products

Maybelline is one of my favourite brands of all time. But Colossal Kajal was the
most disliked product of the lot, it is less pigmented, breaks off easily and
looks flaky on my eyes. Maybelline hyper curl mascara on the other hand is my most
favourite mascara since this is perfect for everyday and lifts my lashes perfectly.

Comparison : Lakme eyeconic Kajal & maybelline collosal kajal

Maybelline collosal kajal and lakme eyeconic kajal are quite similar
in appearance viz., sleek packaging, retractable type, amount of
product et al but colossal kajal fails miserably on usage.
Colossal kajal feels dry, flakes and needs to swiped on waterline nearly 7-8
times.

It fails with pigmentation and not smooth enough to
apply. Whereas on the other hand, lakmé fulfils in those areas where
maybelline failed.. the kajal is creamy yet gives a matte finish hence
no smudging, rich pigmentation and glides easily on waterline without
any tugging. It stands up to 8hrs and does work great on watery eyes
too. Only that you have to pay extra 50 rs. for eyeconic kajal compared to
colossal.

I can definitely say lakme eyeconic kajal
wins
 in this case.

Lakme eyeconic mascara vs maybelline hyper curl

When I compare, it makes us doubt that whether lakmé
had these maybelline products in mind while creating eyeconic
collection. The eyeconic curling mascara looks very much similar as
that of the hyper curl mascara only that the eyeconic mascara has got lengthy wand
and spoolie. The curvy spoolie look similar to that of a flipped '(' share
but eyeconic kajal has closer bristles than maybelline hypercurl. This
is what gives eyeconic curlingmascara to make the lashes lengthy
and gives slightly curled effect but on the other hand the
longer spoolie becomes a disadvantage while applying. The maybelline
comes in a correct size hence making it easy to apply and gives a
slight curling effect too.

Maybelline hypercurl comes out in both
washable and waterproof variant but lakmé clearly lacks in the waterproof  variant
which is a drawback. In addition, on a personal note i do
experience lash fall with lakmé eyeconic mascara but not sure whether it
happens to everyone out there or its just me, which freaks me out everytime. This
makes maybelline a win-win product for me and comes 50 bucks lesser
than the lakmé eyeconic curling mascara.

Finally my picks are :

the lakme eyeconic mascara  and the maybelline hypercurl mascara
