MAC Elegant Accent Mineralize Rich Lipstick
MAC Elegant Accent Mineralize Rich Lipstick is described as a “mid-tonal warm rose cream.” It’s a pinky-coral with a bit of rose and warm undertones. It has a soft, luminous finish that produces an all-over sheen. MAC Heart to Heart is slightly pinker and darker. Chanel Enjouee is darker. Burberry Primrose Hill Pink is glossier and more muted with less pink. MAC Watch Me Simmer is pinker and brighter. Chanel Genial is very similar. NARS Niagara is just a bit less bright.
It has full color coverage and applies smoothly, evenly, and easily–no tugging or pulling–because it has a creamy consistency that doesn’t feel thick or heavy on the lips. I did see some lines appear if I pressed my lips together, and with how creamy the finish is on Elegant Accent, it was a bit more noticeable compared to some of the other shades. I don’t think it’s a deal-breaker, because I doubt most people looking at your lips would notice it, but it did make me fuss with it more while I wore it. Elegant Accent lasted four and a half hours, which is nice wear, and it was lightly hydrating but the most hydrating from what I’ve tried so far within this formula.
THE GLOSSOVER
This shade has a fair amount of similar shades, so it's really about what formula you prefer. It's a warmer, pink-coral (but emphasis is on the pink content) that has full color coverage and wears comfortably.
